Flat Tire! Flat Tire!

So I am sitting in a little town in the middle of GA right now. About an hour ago, I was traveling to Savannah for work and I heard a knock on my right rear tire. Next thing I know, I was on the side of HWY 16 with a flat tire. These type things never happen to me when I am in Jeans and a tshirt…

So, here I am in a black skirt and heels and need to figure out the tire thing. My Dad taught me well, when he spent time encouraging me to not be one of those girls that can’t change a tire. So with all confidence, I open the trunk, pull out the spare, and roll my sleeves up to change my tire. I soon realized I didn’t have the tools to do it. I was about to get angry,  considering I am in the middle of God only knows where. I called road side assistance, and of course they tell me they will be a couple hours. A couple hours???? I don’t have a couple of hours, I have to be in Savannah by 11:00….I have lives to change, faces to paint! I paused and prayed with as much confidence that I could muster up that God would work it out

I finished praying when out of nowhere, you are not going to believe who pulled up. A Truck with a picture of a big tire on the side with a logo of “Alpha Tires”… Need I remind you that Jesus says he is the Alpha and Omega, beginning and the end. I was just glad it was Alpha….the begininning! God has such a sense of humor. The boys were kind enough to put my spare on for me and they they directed me to the closest Firestone in Dublin to have my tire changed.

I arrive, spare and all, not upset but feeling as if God was taking me on a little field trip. Funny how our attitude toward something can change. So, I  walk into this little hole in the wall shop and the first thing I see is a bumper sticker on the sesk that reads, “Jesus is the Answer”. I didn’t think much about it until I get to the waiting room where written in  above the TV reads “Jesus always saves, and Jesus is looking out for you, even when you don’t realize it”.

I can’t help but laugh, and think about how something as frustrating as a blown tire can be surrounded by little fingerprints of His hand.

When I started my day today, I would never had thought that that this would have happened. I was actually bummed about traveling for the next two days alone. I guess I was reminded that I am NEVER alone. That He is with me every step of the way.

So, I challenge you guys to stop and take note that you have an amazing God who never leaves you or forsakes you! He is a mighty God who loves you and protects you every minute of the day! Even though I have been stranded, without tools, and in a place that is unfamiliar, I am not alone. Neither are you!

I think of Psalm 121:1-2 where it says I lift my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord the Maker of heaven and Earth. Vs 7. The Lord will keep you from all harm-he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore!

How awesome is God!!! He rocked my world today!

Have a awesome day!!!!!!!
